Default Are Revenue Lo-Call numbers not working any more?

Have tried a couple now but just keep getting the "discontinued tone"

Are things that bad!

I just tried the PAYE helpline for the ESE 1890 44 44 25 and it's working... beyond that I don't know, but if even one of them is working then they haven't been cut off for not paying the bill!

I rang the City center paye number 1890 333 425 yesterday and got through pretty much straight away. I also rang the main switch earlier and got through.

Aparently it's the whole 1890 system from eircom that is broken.

Yeah that seems to be the case, I just got an email to that effect. No indication of how long it'll be down for though...

The 1890 numbers are too expensive so the alternatives here are better value http://www.saynoto1890.com/

Apparently they are fixed now:
http://www.revenue.ie/en/spotlights/...ilability.html

Revenue do have an alternative to the 1890 numbers, for example the alternative to the PAYE 1890 number is 01 702 3011 (it's supposed to be for callers from outside of Ireland but it still connects Irish-based callers to the same service). It's written underneath the 4 'boxes' for the different regions.

http://www.revenue.ie/en/contact/lo-call.html

Just call the 'international callers' number on the website, there is an alternative there for most of them.
