Condensation in tail light

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can provide some ideas on how to remove a build up of condensation in the rear tail light of a VW Golf. Obviously the problem is because of water getting in but Im due an NCT on Friday and fear it will fail on this. I've removed the tail light cover itself to try and release what little water is trapped inside but it has'nt solved the problem. Other than replace the entire cover would anyone have any suggestions?

Take out the bulb and blow hot air in from a normal household hair dryer.

I had this problem.

I draiend the water but the codensation was still there and I had to bring it back for a visual NCT - i.e. no etra charge.

What I did was take the light off and put it in the hot press for the night befoe I went to the NCt.

It worked but already its back so will have to do this when the NCT is due again

Had this with a Volvo S40 and drilled a small drain hole in the lens. Fixed.
