Does anyone know if there is any formal complaint procedures in Ireland for complaining about online betting companies? I deposited funds to a well known online betting facility last week. Immediately after doing so I got an email speel saying that the funds had been locked and I needed to provide proof of home address, identity and a front and back copy of my Credit card (???). I emailed back stating I would have a serious issue with the last item requested, I have never heard of any company looking for a customer to send a photocopy of their credit card. Anyway, I got no reply for 4 days, bar the account then being inexplicably locked. Then I forwarded this email onto a separate customer service email address. 2 days later, no reply. I then forwarded it on again yesterday, strongly worded. Still no reply. Is there no comeback on this? Shockingly bad customer service. I have already advised the credit card company of the issue.
