hi
We had recently been approved in principle from AIB. We attended a meeting at a branch with the mortgage advisor whereby we told her we were sale agreed with our present property and asked what we could get approved for as we had our eye on a house. She told us and then asked about the house we were sale agreed at etc.. we had tenants interested also and told her this and she said why don't you keep it if you have tenants as we were literally breaking even on house. we took the house back off the market as it was only gone sale agreed at a hugely reduced price because we thought we needed to sell to move on. Anyway it was a big decision and we made it after this advisors advice. Two weeks later after our approval in principle we got declined for our mortgage. This means we will lose out on our house we wanted, have lost prospective buyers and when i said why she said well if tenants moved out then you might not have you enough to cover two mortgages for a few months which makes sense but why didn't she put this in orignally when we had asked her to make double sure before we took it back off market. Have i any right to complain or appeal this decision as we are really in dire straits now any advice appreciated.
