My BF and I are planning on
A. getting married
B. buying a home together.
I currently own a property which I plan to sell but this may take some time. If we're married when we buy a home together will we be clobbered for stamp duty? BF is a first time buyer. Or, even though he'll be married to me can he buy the house in his own name, therefore availiling of no stamp duty, or is that not applicable considering his wife (me) will have been a property owner in the past.
