Irish Contractor - working in UK

Currently a hourly rate contractor( not IT) , director of own limited company. Opportunity to do same role in UK for 6 months to a year. Views , advice .
Would intend leaving home and family here and coming home every few weeks. Where is tax due, what about expenses?, giving the current tax climate and various revenue issues,( not been audited).
Will obviously discuss with my tax adviser but always like to have a few pertinent questions with me.
