Need advice on parental leave and second baby.

So I plan to take my 18 weeks (90 days) Parental Leave when I return to work after Maternity Leave, I am taking 1 day per week for as long as it lasts (July 2015 I think!).

Question is, if I get pregnant again and go on Maternity Leave, before this Parental Leave is used up, what happens to my remaining days?

I know I will get another 18 weeks, or 90 days for baby number 2, but what happens the remaining time for baby number 1?

You have until the child is 8 to use the total amount of Parental leave.

as huskerdu says, you will get another 90 days for baby2 and the parental days you havent used for baby1 will still be there when you return.. you should probably confirm this with HR when you are arranging your 2nd mat leave, just in case they dont automatically recalculate your leave. good luck TTC!

You haven't said if you have cleared this with your employer yet, so just wanted to note that if you haven't, you should be aware that the employer is not obliged to let you take PL in less than 6 week blocks.

Yes my employer has agreed for me to take one day a week which is great.
