As MIS and HBP are supplementary welfare payments/benefits, is it correct to say that on taking up full-time employment and waiting a month for first salary payment, that the supplementary welfare payments/benefits will not cease immediately when employment begins, but when salary is received?

Household benefits package is not a Supplementary Welfare scheme.
There is no automatic entitlement to either scheme on a change of circumstances. Both are likely to stop from the date employment starts and the qualifying social welfare payment ceases.

Depending on the family situation, there may be an entitlement to basic Supplementary Welfare Allowance pending payment of wages. If that was paid, the mortgage interest supplement might continue for an extra month. The household benefits package would cease as SWA is not a qualifying scheme.
