Concrete floor staining.

I was talking to a friend, who is doing up a house, and they mentioned this which I haven't heard of before! I have heard of using polybond, or garage/concrete paint to seal a concrete floor if flooring isn't being put down immediately but not this. Googling brings up some very nice pictures, and it seems to be popular as a DIY thing in the US, but I'm not sure if it's available here.

Can anyone enlighten me??

This is an article with little detail about how to actually go about doing this: http://www.homewise.ie/news_articles.php?ArticleID=1010&FromArticlePage=Category&FromArticlePageID=1

Thanks, interesting article! I was asked about it, with the view to doing it as a DIY project, it seems like it is a bit complicated for that. I realise that most of the articles I've come across are by professionals looking for work though!

Im looking for same product for garage floor as driving out on tarmac bringing dust marks...going shopping this weekend for it....

It would be great if you could update us on what you find, Sandals. I've come across garage/concrete paint alright, but not this stain.

Not sure about 'staining' but I used colortrend exterior quality paint on concrete floors in my house, also painted stencils and with a few cheap rugs it did the job for two years till I had enough for the flooring I wanted.
