Hi everyone,

In a relatively new relationship and he is back on leave in June. It's his birthday during that time and he enjoys sushi and Thai food. I'm thinking of taking us away for a couple of days (not sure whether to go Dublin / Galway / Cork etc.) and as a birthday present signing us up for a sushi making course for a day. However, the courses i have found (cooks academy etc.) don't have any running for the week he is back. Does anybody have any suggestions on places that might offer courses - any restaurants that offer courses? Alternatively, if i could get suggestions for very good sushi/sashimi recommendations i would appreciate it.

Thai food courses and restaurants also greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Floss.

The Thai Garden restaurant in Galway is very nice.

I read somewhere recently that there is a good Japanese restaurant in the Radisson in Galway - but I haven't tried it yet.

Here's the link to the restaurant.

I love sushi!

Ballymaloe also run sushi courses but there is none in June - I checked for you.

Michie Sushi in Ranelaigh is also very nice for a sushi takeout.

Diep le Shaker is a very nice Thai restaurant in Dublin.

Good luck with the romance!
