Hello,

I did a self build concrete shed a three years ago. I laid foundations and engaged a bricklayer to build the walls and I had a carpenter do the roof.

I am moving my mortgage now and my solicitor has advised me to get a certificate of compliance to certify that it is within the planning reqs in terms of square footage.

Do I need an Architect or an Engineer to provide this?

Thanks.

either.... and throw an architectural technician into that mix...

all they need is professional indemnity insurance and be accepted by the solicitor
