Bidding against myself....

This story doesn't prove that estate agents are chancers, not in a market where we are informed property prices in Dublin have gone up 25% in the last 12 months. And we have posters on here worried about purchasing in the rising market. (this is a certifable fact, not a debate on house prices, just on the current statistics of house prices)

fact: prices are up 25%
fact (according to ex estate agent in the attached article): that the prices are rising so high due to ghost bids

THE EA has a motive for getting more from the property, to them it is a game, you are emotionally involved.

Don't blame the players blame the game and the game is all wrong. In the States where you have multiple interested parties they are given a fixed timeline deadline to get their highest and best in and that decides, much fairer and faster, I have seen this here but it is rare.

Whilst you are sale agreed see is there anything else available that you would swop out that property for, if there isn't you will at least get some reassurance, the process you have been involved in sucks.
