My husband is self employed we used to with commined inurance but are no longer with them.Does any other company provide insurance like them.

we have health insurnace but if he is out of work becuase of an accident or being in hospital he does not get anything

you should be able to get personal accident cover and critical illness cover through any broker. Premium depends on many factors, including occupation. naturally, a watchmaker would be a lower risk than a steelpejack!

Yes they do but they olny pay while in hospital they dont pay conveleance

You can add personal accident cover
to most life insurance policies.

This will pay your husband up to 50%
of his weekly salary for up to 52 weeks
if he cannot work due to an accident.

The payment will not start until
he is out of work for 14 days.

You should also look into Income Protection, which is generally superior to personal accident cover (in that it has a broader range of cover including disability & illness) and will pay an income up until 65. As the other others stated, the cost will depend on personal circumstances but their is tax relief on income protection but not on personal accident policies.
