Who polices House Alarms

Who should I contact if a house alarm is constantly ringing? The alarm rings for 20 mins, stops for about 2-3 secs and then continues in this pattern ALL-DAY!

On a slightly separate issue, what type of sentence could you expect for putting a brick through someone's house window. First time offence obviously.

The first question is a serious one though

We have had this problem ourselves with a neighbour. Ultimately the offending neighbour got the fault in their alarm sorted out, but it did take a lot of pressure before he acted - very selfish in my view.

I strongly recommend you put a letter into the offending property owner and give them 48 hours to respond confirming they have resolved the problem. Quote the law, it's on your side... but also use the personal language about due consideration for fellow neighbours etc. If you are uncomfortable doing this yourself, call the Gardai and insist they act and contact the property owner on your behalf.

Hi ,

This also happened me , I approached the neighbour and gave him a number of an alarm
technician I have been using for 30 years . Problem was sorted in 2 days . Let me know
