Can anyone recommend please the cheapest way for me to call an Indian landline from my own landline.

Thanks

This is not a direct answer, but could you not use "skype" ? Calls PC to PC are free, but you can also buy Skype credit, and make calls to landlines. I use this option all the time and find it much cheaper to use than my landline. Skype are also very clear in telling you the costs of calls.

I'd also recommend Skype - just download it , set up an account and the rest is easy -- you could also just pop into any corner shop and as for the most suitable call card and use your landline

I use Talk Xtra to make phone calls abroad [broken link removed]
According to their site, 500 minutes from Ireland to India costs ten euro, or 2 cent per minute.
When you apply, you will receive a card in the post which you can either top up in your local post office or online, whichever is more convenient to you.

www.nonoh.net is also very cheap for anywhere in the world. You get a lot of free calls and it's landline to landline, albeit dialed from the internet.
