Penalty Points and Recent Legal Issue

Was the speeding fine legitimate? If so, then he should pay the fine, take the points and move on... why try to "get out of it"?

If the points and fine were imposed illegally because the legislators messed up, I think justice, as distinct from possibly erroneous law, needs to be served by reversing the penalties.

I can't offer legal advice I'm afraid or recommend a solicitor, but you might ask your own lawyer for a referral to a specialist solicitor or barrister.

The spirit of the law is sound. I'd take it on the chin and move on (within the speed limit).
