Aeroboard and thermal looping?

Hi guys

I am building a new block cavity house soon and have been planning to fill the cavity with platinum bead. However my contractor is concerned that the beads may leave unfilled 'pockets'. He has suggested using Aeroboard and says that the blockie builds the outer leaf first, installs the aeroboard and then builds the inner leaf tight up against the aeroboard. He says that because the aeroboard is the full width of the cavity then it has to be tight against the inner leaf and that the blockie must keep the cavity very clean in order to be able to install it.

Basically I was wondering:
  • Does Aeroboard fit really tight against the inner leaf and in so doing does it eliminate thermal looping?
  • Which would you recommend- Aeroboard or platinum bead?
Thanks
