I was out of work for 6 years and was retired on medical grounds.
While i was out of work i was removed from payroll and received no pension rate of pay as i was not entitled to it .
However i was on an income continuance plan through cornmarket and they paid 50%of my basic pay. I was at all times honest with them and kept them informed of my position but upon my retirement it seems a mistake was made and I was entitled to pension rate of pay which i received in a lump sum and had backdated.
Now Cornmarket have informed me that owe them in the region of 11k due to overpayment.
Can they look for this amount in one transaction or will they cease to pay my income continuance until the amount is cleared?
