I am looking at purchasing some German-made full bodied porcelain kitchen floor tiles. They have a very slightly rough texture. Are these porous? Will they stain? Will it be necessary to seal them?

I have sealed tiles in the past and found it messy, expensive and unsatisfactory.

Can you not ask the supplier these questions?
I've never heard of a German manufacturer of tiles...

never heard of german porcelain either, test tile by a drop of water, should form convex bubble , then okay, if lies flat and soaks in ,needs sealing. or use a colouring marker, write on tile, leave for a few seconds if it does not rub off with your finger ypu will need to seal

Thanks skintile - looks like I won't have to seal. It says made in Germany on the box(?)
