Car Hire LA

Heading to LA this weekend and looking at hiring a car don’t know the days yet as not sure of plans when over there

Not looking for anything fantastic something decent. Are all the best ones out in the airport and can anyone recommend any companies?

I always use Hertz at LAX.............handy and efficient and book online as its cheaper here before I go.

Will check online when I am over there take it would be just as cheap when booked online when in LA before collection

Hertz, Avis, National - higher tier
Alamo, Enterprise - Mid tier
Budget - does what it says on the tin.

I never prepay gas, just bring it back full.

& alwayls google for discount codes!

On tripadvisor, UK and Irish travellers are advised to pre book using a European rentalcar portal which includes things like Collision Damage waiver and so on that will not be included if you book on arrival. It is said to be cheaper too!
