My wife was on JB for 12 month during 2007/08, we had at that time one depedant child for which she didnt claim for under the dependent child allowance, as she was not made aware of the entittlement at the time.

Is she entitled to make a claim retrospectively for the money?

If you were also working while she was claiming JB it's unlikely she would have been entitled to it anyway.

Are you sure she's entitled to CDA? She wosuld have completed and signed a form at the time which has a section under which you put details of adults and/or children for which you wish to claim (or not as the case may be); this will be on file so it's not a case of her 'not been made aware'.

QUOTE: "You can get an increase of €26.00 for each qualified child if you qualify for an increase for a qualified adult or if you are parenting alone. If you do not qualify for an increase for a qualified adult, you may get a half-rate qualified child increase, if your spouse or partner has income of €400 or less a week."

The limits may have been lower in 2007.
