Home apartment insurance

Hi, does anyone know if anybody in Ireland offers buildings/house and contents insurance for apartaments?
I know usually apartaments are insured by managament companies but just wondering if you can get that kind of insurance yourself ?

where I live the management company looks after the apartment buildings and common area insurance. Its up to each owner or tenant to obtain contents insurance separately if they want.

No. Because you can't insure part of a block in isolation from the rest.

Yes you can insure your contents. I have my own apartment & my contents are insured seperatly to the block insurance. I got my contents through a broker called First Ireland.

FBD do contents only. I had them last year when i lived in a ground floor apartment.

ok, i've checked it out and most of the insurers do CONTENTS only options
