House Contents Insurnace - Renovated Building

Hi,

I have recently moved into a new flat in a renovated Goergian building. I am struggling to find an insurer that covers house contents for this type of place - apparently the few that exist that only cover house contents only, only cover for purpose built flats as opposed to renovated buildings. has anyone else had similar problems? Any suggestions would be welcome. (I don't have anything special either, just the normal type of house contents stuff.)

is this a purpose built appartment in the renovated building or what we used in the old days call a flat or a bedsit?

if purpose built, then you should hav en problem, if the latter, you will.
