I have recently switched credit card from Danske to PTSB.
I have sent confirmation letter from Danske that I paid stamp duty for 2014. Also, I confirmed on the phone that they received it as I wanted to make sure they accept copy, not original letter (I wanted to keep original just in case).
Now there is 30 euro on my cc statement for government charge. I phoned PTSB and they say they don't have my letter ... but "will have a look and phone me tomorrow". It was last week, no one called me. They also said money is now gone, they can not give it back, but I can be exempted from next year.
What I should do now? I'll phone them and send letter again in case they can't find it, but ... How to make sure they don't forget or loose that letter next year? By this time next year I might forget about it.
