I am claiming for Medical expenses and Third Level education fees as well as declaring rental income on Form 11.

On the return summary sheet it does not make any mention of the Medical Expenses and Third level fees but does include the rental income and calculates what I owe which is offset against Tax on Income.

Why does it not mention my claims? Am I missing something?

My Additional Income was €2350 and my calculated tax due is 20% €470

My Expenses were €5750 (Medical & Tuition Fees). Would expect relief of €1,150

I would expect to be given = €680 back.

My Liability is NIL and I have a tax credit of €3300. Huh?

Have you other sources of income (salary etc)? You must input these also, and the various tax/usc deductions etc.

I am no expert here so what follows may be wrong:
the reliefs you mention are tax credits which I understand to be processed by way of a reduction of the final tax liability.

If you don't have enough of a tax liability, I don't think they convert to a tax refund.
