hi, i'm looking at nationwide uk ireland's easy access account...

seems like allot of red tape to set it up.

  • [broken link removed] - (2 forms of ID required)
  • [broken link removed] – (2 original forms of proof required)
  • [broken link removed] – (1 original form of proof required)

why do they need 2 forms of id? surely a passport should be enough... which i have. i don't have a drivers licence... will my work id do?

cheers

"If a personal cheque is not supplied with the application form, a certified copy of a passport OR driving licence OR EU Identity Card is required"

Not sure why they want a second one but they do look for it - they sent me back mine as the certified copy of drivers license didnt have a contact number on it, just the stamp and signature. I doubt they'll accept a work ID based on this.....might be worth a shot though, all they can say is no

My experience is that if you're opening an account in person you'll need half the amount of ID/proof of address than you need is you're doing it at a distance.
