Hi,

If I am paid €30 an hour and work an average 37 hours per week and am able to accumulate annual leave amounting to say 20 days (4 weeks) annually, how do I calculate what my annual salary is? I don't know whether to take €30 x 37 hours x 48 weeks, or 52 weeks. Please advise. Thanks.

It is wrong to use 52 weeks as a calculation. Here is the proper way to two decimal points. Some use four decimal points.

Multiply your hourly rate by the weekly hours and multiply your answer by 52.18; then you will have your annual rate.

Multiplying by 52.18 is to compensate you for the extra day worked in the leap year.

ok, but most people just work on a 52 week year.
That's €57'720 a year.
