Secondary teaching jobs in August in Ireland

Hi all

Just wondering if experienced teacher(s) can let me know if there are in fact teaching jobs that will be advertised in August before the start of the new school year? As in, will principals be advertising jobs after they return from holidays or have they already done this mostly in May/June etc? Sorry if my tone seems a little naive, I would just like to know the consensus before considering going abroad if need be. Thanks

Tomo, I don't have an answer, but there is an Education section on boards.ie, (Teaching and Lecturing) where I have seen similar queries raised, and good advice given. Best of luck.
