Witnessing Legal Documents

Hi, just got a legal application which required a witness by a solicitor. He signed it but never stamped it. Do these things genuinely required to be stamped too ?

Some solicitors have a rubber stamp with their name and address on it. It is convenient to so stamp something they are witnessing, especially as it may be easier to read than their handwriting,

Unless whoever produced the document required such a stamp, it would not be al legal requirement.

If its a requirement of those checking the document to see the stamp then get the stamp.
