I'm looking to save space in our kitchen and am toying with getting an under counter radio/cd similar to this one -

Can anyone tell me if a US model will work in Ireland, or if there's anything similar available here. I've seen one in B&Q but it doesn't look as good as this one.

No, would be a safe bet. Any or all the following will be a problem

Need transformer for Power Supply.
Clock will run slow, as it used the mains voltage as a reference frequency.
FM band and tuneing steps will not be correcy.
And from memory I think there is a slight difference in frequency split used for stereo.

You can buy those radios here, just set the location in ebays search to europe!

Thanks for the reply. Having searched around I've found this from a German company. Would it work in Ireland...?

[broken link removed] - you'll have to paste the description below into the seach function, unfortunately doesn't link directly to the item - Sorry.

KRC 4323 Kitchen chassis radio

LIDL do them every now & then.
There was one in August for €12.99 that looks the same

Towger, all the sellers on ebay are US, so I'm assuming they are US voltage.

Any idea of where a European dealer might have them. I've tried the Sony shop and they don't list it. The reason I wanted this one is that it has bass boost and I want to avoid a tinny sound...otherwise I'd go with a normal micro system and put it on a shelf.
