FraGov 8.5%

FraGov 8.5% is listed as one of the top holdings of the Aviva Irl Bond Fund. Can someone please explain what it is.

That is the coupon being paid on the bond. Very high for a government bond. The next highest coupon in their top 10 holding is Spanish bonds at 6%

I don't follow the bond markets enough to tell you why they coupon is that high.

This is a 30 year French Government which was issued in 1989 with an interest rate of 8.5%
