Continue Mortgage Overpayments or regular saver

Hi,
Currently overpaying my mortgage by €500 per month. My mortgage rate is 1.75%. I owe 250k on mortgage and currently have 20 years remaining.

Would I be better off putting the 500 into a regular saver at 4.5% for a couple of years and then transfer the lump sum in against the mortgage?

Yes if you have the discipline to actually pay the lump sum off in a couple of years.
