Cat owner's legal responsibility

Hi All,

just wanted to ask your opinions about a problem I'm having with a cat owner next door.
Basically, her cat wanders into our back garden whenever he fancies it (we live in a terrace in a city suburb) and tries to get in our windows. He can't really manage to do this and while it's annoying, I can't accuse him of using our garden as a loo, making noise or doing any damage per se.
What should we do? Is there a law that says she has to control her cat and keep it off our property? What are my rights if I catch this cat on my property?
I have informed the neighbour through a letter that I find her cat a nuisance, but she doesn't think there's anything she can do to stop her cat roaming while she's out at work etc.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Serenn.

Apologies Brendan...

...I didn't spot the previous thread before posting my query.

Looks like there isn't really any legal recourse to the neighbour's cat being on my property from reading the previous thread.

Thanks,
Serenn
