Football coaching

Hi guys,

Just wondering how to get involved in coaching football particularly oder teenagers and at adult level I mean actually getting a role?

Start with younger ages, and work your way up through your local club. Isn't that how they all start?

Can you start coaching a bit older ages? Surely very small kids coached by parents? I'm really only interested in coaching older age groups?

If you really want to get involved there will be no problem finding a club.
Finding coaches for teenagers is hard so most clubs will be happy to take you in also lower level adults will be gaping for someone else to get involved.

What is your experience - god you coached or played with anyone before.
As you are inexperienced be prepared to work with less talented teams then you may aim for.

Where are you based?

Are you a member of any club? Your local club would be the best place to start, most will support their coaches through the formal FAI coaching qualifications. You'll need Garda vetting to work with underage teams.
