My fiance and I currently rent out a townhouse in CA. The current tenants are awesome and this is the first year they've rented our property. They signed a 1 year lease and the lease is due to end this up coming November. Unfortunately, due to a few personal circumstances, we need to move back into our townhouse at the end of their lease. What's the legal way to do this in terms of giving them notice? Also, can they do anything to prevent us from taking back the property? (Not that they would as they truly are the nicest couple and it really sucks that we have to "kick" them out.)
