Want to fly from Dublin to Palermo but there are no direct flights, unless we use a charter flight with travel company costing 2200 euro return for 2 adults and 2 children, crazy!! Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Ryanair fly from Dublin to Trapani at the Western tip of Sicily twice a week (Wednesdays and Sundays) in the summer.

Trapani is no more than 1 hour's drive from Palermo

Fly to Trapani on RyanAir

Tripadvisor has some advise on how to get to Palermo from there

Thanks Guys. Wanted to fly to Palermo as we are staying in a small town " Cefalu "which is 1 hour from Palermo. Not looking good though

No direct flights that I know of ... Ryanair do fly to Palermo, but only from London (as do Easyjet) ... So you'd be looking at connecting there or connecting somewhere else .... if the direct flights to trapani suit your schedule then it's going to be hard to beat them - even if it's an hour's extra drive.
