Home Contents insurance for student in rented house

Just wondering which is the best option for my son.He is a student in Dublin and has a lot of computer equipment in his room in a rented house with friends.Is it possible for him to take out a contents only insurance policy? His P.C and other computer items are valued approx €2000 -€2500? Is he covered under the landlords insurance? If anyone can recommend a company that does contents only insurance .Thanking you.

He is NOT covered under landlords policy. That only covers Landlords contents.

He could take out ALL RISKS cover on the computer and that can be done under your house insurance, subject to the policy conditions.
