Wondering if someone else is experiencing this - just in the last few days, I have had a blue-framed ad box appearing at the bottom of the screen as soon as I open IE 8.

It has random texts such as "You have (6) messages" "watch over 2,150 HD Channels unlimited access no fees" "win an Apple ipad" etc.

I have up to date Norton and even did a scan with Spybot yesterday, but this thing is still popping up when I start IE and pops up when looking at other webpages.

I've googled and couldn't find anything, if anyone has any idea how I can get rid of it, I'd be grateful. Thanks

Google.ie DNS was hijacked a couple of days ago. It only lasted a couple of hours, but your browser could be storing the details.

I'd do a full scan on your PC to check for viruses and avoid using google.ie for a couple of days, until your sure your old DNS settings have expired.

Thanks thunder, it's not there this morning, but I'll do another scan to make sure it's gone.
