Should 'Agency' staff be paid for days off sick

We are currently employing a person from an employment agency - the deal is that we pay the company their 'fee' and we pay the person direct. I have been asked to find out whether we are obliged to pay for sickness. Would anyone know.
 
Somehow I think asking the agency would be your best bet. Or even looking over whatever contract was signed when you agreed to use their services. Other than that, people can only guess as it depends on the agreement you have with the agency.

Any one I know who worked thru' an agency did not get paid for sick leave. I can only assume the agency are trying it on for their own benifit if they are looking for payment when out sick.
