Hi was hoping someone can help me I was off sick for past year and a half with depression after having my last baby I really want to go back to work the first week of September but now someone told me about my illness benefit is taxable how is this done ill will be earning 500 gross will my tax bill be huge really worried thanks

Tax works on a cumulative basis has your husband (if married) been using your tax credits?

If not then you can earn €11k tax free to the end of August, so no worries. If he has then you need to check how much he has used.
