Selling and buying with the same estate agent

I am about to put my house on the market. Is it a good idea to buy a house from the same estate agent that is selling my house?

You would normally put your house on the market before you buy another house. So you would choose the best auctioneer to sell to your house.

If it happens that he has a house you wish to buy, there is no reason why you should not buy from him.

If you have bought another house first and now want to put your own house on the market. The auctioneer you bought through may be more motivated to sell yours so that both transactions go to completion.

Did you use same auctioneer? Any thoughts on how that went?

I decided to do this recently. I am buying a house that is with the same agent that is now selling mine. I figured that it would be in his interests to get both sales across the line. And it's a stressful enough experience - I thought that only having to deal with one agent who would hopefully help tie-in both sales at the same time would be less stressful. I'll update how things go.
