Are Italy plug sockets different to Irish

Do plugs on irish electric appliances work in Italy or do you need an adaptor

We're 420 volt and they are 220 volt - right?

Thanks

Voltage is similar enough - we're 220-240V too.

Sockets are different - they've the plugs with round pins, so you'll need a socket adapter at least.

We're both working off baseline of 230V. See here for a country-by-country reference to voltage, frequency and plug/socket types.
