this is my list of requirements to complete the second fix plumbing on my house in the Midlands. i have received a quote from a company in N. Ireland of £6,800 sterling inclusive of VAT - what do you think ? - good or bad ? going to get a couple of more quotes from NI plus a couple in the South for comparison purposes.

22 Quinn Rads (all 500mm height - double convector compact radiators apart from 1 single)

1600 x 2
1300 x 2
1200 x 1
1100 x 1
1000 x 2
900 x 2
800 x 4
700 x 2
600 x 2
500 x 2
400 x 1
600 x 1 single convector

22 sets Thermostatic Radiator Valves
3 x 5 metre head circulating pumps
1 x 8 metre head circulating pump
Grundfos 4.5 bar MQ pump
Firebird 200 BTU Condensing Boiler (Oil)
300 litre dual coil unvented hot water (stainless steel)
24 litre expansion vessel for heating
3 x 3 quarter inch motorized valves (5 corc)
900 x 1200 shower tray x 1
100 x 1000 shower tray x 1
3 aqualisa thermal 609 showers in chrome
1400 litre oil storage tank

all the first fixing copper pipes etc were bought from local builders merchants for convenience more than anything else.
their price for one of the aqualisa showers is €645, same thing in NI is £320 ! and as we are based in London full time, our money is in sterling which means with the bad exchange rate for us, it makes more sense to finish our house off with materials from the North.
we have since purchased all these materials from NI and will have them delivered free Monday lunchtime for our plumber (nephew) to crack on in our absence.
