Sealed Bids

Can anyone advise me about the sealed bids process and how much you should bid ( obviously within reason of what you can afford etc) ?

Dont think anyone can advise you how much to bid on something when no one knows what you are bidding on.

Given the state of the property market why are you even considering sealed bids? Its a buyers market and sealed bids often are to the advantage of the seller as people tend to bid too much for fear of loosing out.

A friend recently put in a sealed bid on a house in Dublin 6. They didn't get it - she was gutted...and it is killing her not to know by how much they missed it. She said the EA said they were snowed under with envelopes...(how true that is I have no idea)
