Hotel in Edinburgh

Don't know about hotels - which I found quite expensive in Edinburgh - but stayed in a lovely guesthouse 4KT there, on the airport bus route & only 10/15 min walk into the west end, or a few minutes on the bus. Getting a day ticket on the bus is great - lasts up until midnight & it's only about £3.50 as far as I remember. A lovely city to walk around!

Try the Apex hotels in the Grassmarket part of the city. Central to everything and lovely clean friendly hotels. Not too expensive either. The Apex city or International are both good.
 
I found the hotel prices in Edinburgh city centre to be very expensive so I recommend the Novotel Edinburgh Park, it's a few miles out from the city centre but there is a very good train service beside the hotel that takes you into the city. I stayed in this hotel last month and paid £62.90 per night for 2A + 2C inc. breakfast.
