Good Afternoon,

I would like to know is it possible to go from Fixed Rated to Interest Only for a short period, possibly 3 months to get other bills paid and cleared. We are currently on our 2nd year of a 4 year fixed rate mortgage with EBS. We would like to go interest only for 3 months..is this possible?

It's possible to go to interest-only repayments while in a fixed rate. You'd still be on the fixed rate of interest.

But it's at the discretion of EBS whether or not they want to offer you such a facility. So only they can answer as to whether or not you'll get it.

As per LDFerguson, EBS are the only ones who will give you that answer.
Most Banks/Building societies will facilitate an interest only period. If they agree, they may ask you to fill out a detailed form stating your income and expenditure and detailing reasons why you want to go interest only.

Best of luck
