I have applied and being accepted on to a springboard course. As these courses are deemed to be part-time. Would one qualify for back to education and more importantly for myself, can I claim for some sort of travel allowance as I will have a 2 hour return bus journey everyday. Otherwise I can not afford to do this course.

Do you not have a travel pass? Could you apply for one?

Springboard courses are, as you said, part-time. Back to Education Allowance is only payable in respect of full-time second or third level courses. The Springboard initiative allows you to keep your current SW payment (Jobseeker's Benefit/Allowance) provided you continue to meet the qualifying criteria.
