I used petinsure.ie when insuring my cat last year - I found it cheaper than Allianz at the time, and they offered a first year discount (€20) if applied for online as well. Cost me €94 if I recall.
Had occasion to make a couple of claims from the insurance. I just paid the excess to the vet, she claimed the balance from the insurance co and they paid reasonably promptly.
