Do smokers cost the taxpayer money?

Yes its shocking.

But even to take the case of maximum ignorance, where people are totally clueless about whats in the foods, surely they notice a child who is literally so fat that she is an overweight adult body weight at 9 or 10 years of age and then question what they are putting into the child?

Why is the teacher, or the public health nurse, or the GP or someone who also sees that child not saying to the parents 'your child is way overweight, she needs to go on a diet'.

I mean, if the GP or someone else thought the child was drinking alcohol or smoking theyd intervene - wouldnt they?
