Gallieni (Parc de Bagnolet) is a station of the Paris Métro, the eastern terminus of Line 3. It is nearby a large international bus station serving bus services from Eurolines.

i'm sure google maps would give you directions. it's hard to say what the city centre is in paris but the eiffel tower wouldn't be it. would you not just hop on the metro and in to where you're staying?
That’s quiet a hike. You’d be better off taking a metro or a taxi. The RATP web site will calculate an itinerary for you. As dereko1969 says in his post the Eiffel tower is not really in the city centre, but it’s too far to walk.
